Margot Parker

Margot Parker (born July 24, 1943 in Grantham ) is a British politician with the UK Independence Party .

Life

She worked for several international companies in purchasing and sales. She was on the board of the British Promotional Merchandise Association and has been its press officer since 1996. From 2003 to 2007 she was the head of the public relations department of the European Promotional Products Association, an interest group for the promotional products industry.

Parker was politically active at first with Libertas , for which she ran unsuccessfully for the European Parliament in 2009. In 2009 she became a member of UKIP. In 2010 she was a UKIP candidate in the 2010 British general election in the Sherwood constituency . In 2014 she ran for UKIP in the European elections and entered the European Parliament . She is a member of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection and the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality .

She lives in Corby , Northamptonshire , is married with two sons.
