The Maria Magdalena Church ( Hungarian Mária Magdolna-templom ) is a former Roman Catholic church in the Castle District of Budapest . It was dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene .

The history of the church goes back to the Middle Ages. The church was built in the Gothic style. It was destroyed in the siege of 1686 and rebuilt in the baroque style after the liberation in the 17th century. The church was badly damaged in the Battle of Budapest in 1944, and its ruins were demolished under communist rule. Only the high bell tower remained.

A single tracery window in the choir has been reconstructed.
