Wilhelm Christange

Wilhelm Christange (born August 29, 1868 in Müncheberg , † after 1932 ) was a German politician ( USPD , SPD ).

Life

After graduating from elementary school, Christange was employed as a tobacco worker. From 1919 to 1924 he worked as an independent cigar manufacturer and from 1924 to 1928 as a businessman in Eisleben .

Christange was already a member of the SPD during the period of the German Empire . He switched to the USPD in 1917 and was chairman of the workers' council for the city of Eisleben and the district of Mansfeld during the November Revolution , where he had chaired the party since 1919. From 1919 to 1928 he was a city councilor in Eisleben, until 1921 as head of the city council assembly. He was also a board member of the Saxony-Anhalt City Council from 1925 to 1928.

Christange was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Saxony from 1919 to 1921 and was also a member of the Prussian Constitutional Assembly . In February 1921 he was elected to the Prussian state parliament for the USPD . He became a member of the SPD again in September 1922 and was a member of the state parliament until 1932. In parliament he represented constituency 11 (Merseburg).
