Tjan So Gwan
Tjan So Gwan (* 1959 , also known as Maria Fransisca ) is a former Indonesian badminton player .
Career
Tjan So Gwan was runner-up in 1978 with the Indonesian women's team. In the 1978 Uber Cup final , the Indonesian team faced Japan once again and lost 5-2. Tjan So Gwan lost to Atsuko Tokuda in the singles final with 5:11 and 4:11.
In the individual disciplines, she won the international championships in Auckland in 1980 in women's doubles with Imelda Wiguna . In the final they defeated teammate Tati Sumirah and Australian Susan Daly 15: 2 and 15: 4. Under her new name Maria Fransisca, she won the Southeast Asian Games and the Indonesia Open in women's doubles with Ruth Damayanti three years later .
