Marian Koppe (born July 23, 1964 in Königsee ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 2009 to 2014 .

Career

Marian Koppe attended the Polytechnic High School from 1971 to 1981 and then completed vocational training as a maintenance mechanic from 1981 to 1983. After the political change he worked from 1992 to 2009 as an employee in an electrical wholesaler.

In the state elections in 2009 , the FDP succeeded in returning to the Thuringian state parliament after 15 years. Koppe was elected to the state parliament at number 7 on the state list. He was a member of the parliamentary committees for social affairs, family and health as well as for justice, federal and European affairs.

Marian Koppe was a member of the state board of his party in Thuringia, FDP district chairman in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district and parliamentary group leader in the district council. He was chairman of the FDP in his hometown and its parliamentary group chairman in the city council of Königsee; since 2013 he has been the only FDP member on the city council of the newly formed city of Königsee-Rottenbach (since 2019 Königsee ). He is a member of the Federal Social Affairs Committee of the FDP.

In the state elections in Thuringia in 2014 , the FDP resigned from the state parliament, which meant that Koppe, who ran at number 5 on the FDP state list, also lost his mandate.

Marian Koppe is married and has one child.
