Marie-Jeanne Lhéritier de Villandon (* approx. 1664; † 1734 ) was an aristocratic French author of the late 17th century, she is a niece of Charles Perrault . According to other sources, she is said to have been his daughter.

At a young age she published three fairy tales. This publication is considered to be the beginning of fairy tale fashion among the precious . In France she is known under the simple name Mademoiselle Lhéritier .
