Marie Doppelbauer ( November 16, 1875 in Vienna - after 1902) was an Austrian theater actress .

Life

Doppelbauer, the daughter of a businessman, decided, encouraged by frequent visits to the Burgtheater and appropriately prepared by Louisabeth Roeckel , to take up the stage career.

She dared her first theatrical attempt in Döbling in the summer of 1892 as "Josephine von Pöchlar" in Goldfische, with encouraging success. She found her first engagement soon after with the Dresden guest performance ensemble, followed by engagements in Liegnitz (1893), Breslau, Lobetheater (1894), Cologne (1895), Barmen (1896 and 1897), and in 1898, after a favorable guest performance, she appeared as “Countess Guckerl ”in Wallenstein in the association of the court theater in Wiesbaden, where she proved herself excellently in the field of salon ladies and acting soubrettes.

Best of all you get those parts in which rough stimuli were required. Doppelbauer had a lot of humor and knew how to look extremely funny.

From the large number of her popular representations, the following should be emphasized: "Goldene Gans", "Cyprienne", "Franciska" in Minna von Barnhelm , "Dorine" in Tartüffe , "Rosel" in Sputtering , "Countess" in Unfaithful , the "Landlady" in Weißen Rößl etc.
