Mariechen from the front

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mariechen from the front , Mariechen forwards or The good series is a simple dice game with a single dice and a dice cup for any number of players. A variant of the game shows Mariechen from behind or Mariechen backwards , which only differs in the order of the required throws.

Style of play

Mariechen is played with a single dice and dice cup. A thrown three as shown in the picture is only counted from the front for Mariechen if it is thrown on the third throw; in the case of Mariechen from behind, she would have to fall on the fourth litter in order to be counted.

The game is played in turn. Each player rolls a total of six times and tries to roll the number that corresponds to the roll. A one should be rolled on the first roll, a two on the second, etc. The successful throws are added up, the rest is forfeited. The loser is the player with the fewest points and the winner is the one with the most points. In the event of a tie, the player who can prove the highest single throw wins.

In the variant Mariechen from behind , the same rules apply, but here a six should be thrown on the first throw, a five on the second, etc.

For both variants there is the possibility to play with harassment . In this variant, the hidden number can be credited to the table top as an alternative to the number on the top. So if Mariechen throws a one from the front on the first throw, the player can choose whether he wants to note a one or a six.
