history

The Marienhof was built in 1904 by the lime manufacturer and brandy distiller Johann Odenthal. He chose the country villa as his new residence. The property bears styles of Art Nouveau and Historicism . It has a service wing with a gate passage and a tower hood. This includes an attached half-timbered house. All facade views are lively and differently laid out through an alternation of plaster and quarry stone surfaces. The furnishings, consisting of carved stairs, doors with filled frames, coffered ceilings with Art Nouveau paintings, a fireplace and wall cupboards have been almost completely preserved.
