Marija Jovanović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Марија Јовановић ; * 1959 in Kosovska Mitrovica , Kosovo ) is a Serbian writer.

Life

Marija Jovanović was born in Kosovska Mitrovica in the former Yugoslavia in 1959 . She studied philosophy at the Philosophical Faculty in Belgrade . The author is a member of the Serbian Literary Society. She lives and works in Belgrade.

Marija Jovanović has published four novels so far. She received the "Frauenfeder" literary prize for the novel Machinations mit der Eigen Seele ( Machinations with Your Own Soul ). She is a multiple winner of the prize for culture and art "The Golden Hit Liber". Her novel As if nothing happened was shortlisted for the 2004 Frauenfeder Prize.

The novel “machinations with one's own soul” (French Quand j'intrigue avec mon âme ) was published in 2003 in French translation by L'Age d'Homme. The novel Idi, vreme je was published in 2010 in Hungarian translation.
