Marika Blossfeldt (born May 1, 1958 in Tallinn ) is an American dancer, choreographer, non-fiction author and yoga teacher of Estonian origin.

Blossfeldt came to Germany with her parents in 1959 and studied painting with Raimund Girke at the Berlin University of the Arts . In 1980 she moved to New York to study contemporary dance and then worked as a choreographer and dancer. Her projects include The Wolf's Bride , a multimedia collaboration with the Australian ensemble Kiri-uu and the Estonian choreographer and dancer Rene Nommik , Vi Idus Augusti , an open-air spectacle with the composer Mieczysław Litwiński , The Way of the Archer , a work commissioned by the Lithuanian Aura Dance Company , Stone Clock, commissioned by the Estonian National Ballet , Moon Pulse , a dance-music video in collaboration with composer Lisa Karrer and her solo ballet Bird Woman Sprit .

As director of GOH Productions , she organized international performances, festivals and seminars in New York. In 1996 she directed the Festival of Estonian Culture in New York and The Estonian Choreography Exchange at the Estonia National Opera , where Jane Comfort and Susan Osberg choreographed works for the Estonian National Ballet. In the following year she organized the collaboration between Bill Young (USA) and Andy Wong (Hong Kong) with the Estonian National Ballet Company , works by the choreographer Tamar Rogoff and the composer Lisa Karrer in Estonia are also based on her initiative.

In 1995, Blossfeldt bought an old farm near Virtsu in Estonia and founded the Polli Talu Arts Center , a center for painting, performance and health education. She trained as a Kundalini Yoga teacher (1995) and trained at the New York Integrated Nutrition Institute and works as a health and nutrition advisor and yoga teacher. She received the Living Now Book Award for her book Essential Nourishment and was one of the finalists for the Book of the Year Award in 2011 .
