Freddie Gray case

After Freddie Gray's death in police custody, Mosby decided to indict six of the police officers involved in the arrest in 2015. On June 23, 2016, one of the officers, Caesar R. Goodson, driver of the police van in which Gray was lying on the ground and found with a broken spine at the end of the journey, was acquitted on all charges. He was the policeman on whom the prosecution had placed the greatest responsibility for Gray's death. After his acquittal, the local press assumed that Mosby's professional and political career was over.
