Marilyn Strickland

Marilyn Strickland (* 1962 in Seoul ) is an American politician. She is Mayor of Tacoma in Washington state .

Marilyn Strickland was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1962 and moved to Tacoma with her parents in 1967 due to her father's stationing in Fort Lewis . Strickland was Marketing Manager at Starbucks , Tacoma Public Library official and has served on Tacoma City Council since 2008 .
