Marina Angela Kermer (born March 22, 1960 in Aken (Elbe) ) is a German graduate engineer, trade union secretary and politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the German Bundestag from 2013 to 2017 .

Life and work

After attending school in Aken, Köthen and Halle an der Saale, where she passed the Abitur exam, Kermer studied manufacturing process design in the metalworking industry at the University of Magdeburg, graduating as a graduate engineer in 1983. She initially worked in her profession before she was from 1984 as 1992 worked as a trade union secretary, initially for the Free German Trade Union Federation, then from 1990 to 1992 for the Mining and Energy Industrial Union. This was followed by various tasks at the Federal Employment Agency until in 2007 she took over the management of the Employment Agency in Stendal .

In the 2013 federal election she received a mandate from the SPD's state list.
