Marine

Marine is the general term for a member of the naval forces ( Navy )

This includes:

• All crew members (officers, NCOs and crew ranks) of combat and supply ships, aircraft and helicopters of the Navy and submarines
• Soldiers in areas of shipyards, bases or ports
• Special units of the Navy such as B. mine divers or combat swimmers

Marines, especially sailors , are popularly referred to as "blue boys". The reason for this is the color of the navy uniforms (see e.g. sailor suit ). Accordingly, numerous marine choirs are called “Blue Boys”.
