The Marinierskapel der Koninklijke Marine (also short Marinierskapel ) is a military orchestra in a symphonic wind orchestra of the Koninklijke Marine of the Netherlands .

The orchestra was founded on August 1, 1945 and is stationed in the naval barracks in Rotterdam . It goes back to a long tradition in military music. When the Dutch Navy was founded in 1665, there were drummers in the Navy , and wind players were added around 1699 .

Today's orchestra includes a steel band and a marching band .
