career
Cuevas played in the early 1970s for Club León , with whom he won the Mexican Cup and the Supercup twice in a row in 1971 and 1972 .
After Unión de Curtidores was promoted to the top division for the first time (1974), Cuevas moved, like some of his teammates from the ranks of Club León, to city rivals and played their debut game in the first division on July 14, 1974, at Puebla FC was lost with 0: 2.
