Mario Vitale
Mario Vitale (born April 1, 1923 in Salerno , Italy ; † October 25, 2003 there ) was an Italian film actor.
Vitale originally worked as a fisherman in his hometown until the film director Roberto Rossellini discovered him in 1949 and gave him the male lead in the drama Stromboli . He then received other role offers and worked a. a. in a Sunday in August , forgive me! and island of sin with. After Il barcaiolo di Amalfi , in which he also played the leading role, he retired from the film business in 1954.
