Mario vs. Donkey Kong: March of the Mini-Marios is a video game produced for the Nintendo DS in 2006 . It is the sequel to the game Mario vs. Donkey Kong from 2004.

action

Mario opens the Super Mini Mario World theme park, with his girlfriend Pauline appearing as a guest star. Donkey Kong is also among the audience and is delighted with the pretty girl. He immediately grabs her and takes her to the park. Mario now has to use the mini Marios to save Pauline.

Differences to the predecessor

In the first game, Mario was still controllable, while here the game is from his point of view. Here it is now the mini-Marios who move through the levels . Back then there was only one Mini-Mario in each level, here are several in each level.

Game mechanics

The game is controlled with the stylus of the Nintendo DS. The aim is to lead the mini-Marios safely to the exit in each level. You get points the less time you need for it. It also counts if several Mini-Marios go through the gate at once, because this is called a chain. Sometimes there is also a gold mini Mario underneath. If a Mini-Mario touches an enemy, it will be destroyed. Help is provided by the hammers already known from the predecessor and also the fire flowers, which transform a mini mario into fire mini mario, with which he can defeat opponents or at least put them out of action. A mini-Mario can reach higher levels with a trampoline, which he automatically jumps on when he passes it. After nine levels in which you have to save mini-Marios, a fight against Donkey Kong takes place in each world. Here the mini-Marios rescued in the previous level are used as projectiles to defeat the monkey. This must also be done in a given time.
