Marion Lachmann
Marion Lachmann (* 1952 ) is a German canoeist .
She was born as Marion Grupe. Grupe started for SC Magdeburg and achieved bronze at the 1971 World Cup in K 4 over 500 meters. In 1972 she took part in the Summer Olympics in Munich for the GDR , but was not used there.
She later started in the dragon boat and won three gold, three silver and three bronze medals at world championships. She belongs to the Buckau-Fermersleben water sports club .
In 2006, Lachmann was allowed to enter the Golden Book of the city of Magdeburg in recognition of her sporting success as world champion in the Dragon Boat Masterclass over 40 .
