NGC 3618 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble-type SBb in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 302 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 3615 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 10, 1785 .
