NGC 3630 = NGC 3645 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 62 million light years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter. Together with six other galaxies, it is considered a member of the NGC 3640 group ( LGG 233 ).
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3641 , NGC 3643 , NGC 3644 , NGC 3647 .

The object was discovered on April 7, 1828 by John Herschel .
