NGC 3643 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 73 million light years from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3640 , NGC 3644 , NGC 3641 , NGC 3647 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on March 22, 1865 .
