NGC 3662 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb / P in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 244 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years across.
The Type Ia supernova SN 2015bd was observed here.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on February 22nd, 1784 .
