NGC 3629 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 66 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3609 and NGC 3612 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 6, 1785 .
