NGC 3629 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 66 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3609 and NGC 3612 .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 6, 1785 .
