NGC 3604 = NGC 3611 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Sa in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 66 million light years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter. Gravitational binding with PGC 34476 is possible . She is considered a member of the NGC 3640 group ( LGG 233 ).
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 3601 .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on December 30, 1786 .
