NGC 3580 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 299 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered in 1876 by Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel .
