NGC 3572 is a young, galactic open star cluster in the constellation Carina . NGC 3572 has an apparent magnitude of 6.6 mag, is about 6,500 light years away, and is 7 arc minutes in diameter . It was discovered by John Herschel on March 14, 1834 .
