NGC 3610 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E5 in the constellation Ursa Major at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 80 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light-years across. Together with four other galaxies, it is a member of the NGC 3642 group ( LGG 234 )
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3613 and NGC 3642 .
The object was discovered on April 8, 1793 by the astronomer William Herschel with a 48 cm telescope.
