Lazarev Seamount
Coordinates: 60 ° 9 ′ S , 36 ° 49 ′ W
The Lazarev Seamount is a deep-sea mountain in the Southern Ocean part of the Scotia Sea in Antarctica . It is about halfway between the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands to the west and Morrell Island in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands to the east.
This formation is named after the Russian admiral Mikhail Petrovich Lasarew (1788-1851).
