Mariposa is the second music album by Italian singer Lodovica Comello released on February 3rd, 2015 by Sony Music, All Entertainment and MAS.

The album

On January 15, 2015, it was announced, along with the titles of the songs, that Lodovica Comello would release their second album. Most of the texts are in Spanish, but some are also in Italian and English. The release has been confirmed for February 3rd. The CD was recorded during the filming of the Disney Channel telenovela Violetta , in which Comello plays Francesca Cauviglia, at the Estudio 3musica in Buenos Aires, the Good Persian Studio and the Italia al MAS di Milano. The production, which took place in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires together with the Italian producer Fabio Serri, lasted nine months.

The CD is available in two different versions: in the standard version with 12 tracks and in a deluxe version, which contains 5 additional Italian tracks. The first song, Todo el resto no cuenta , was released on January 30th, 2015 and the video a day after. Comello dedicated the title Un viaggio intorno al mondo to her friend Tomas Goldschmidt, while Historia Blanca is written for her niece. She wrote the text of Ci vediamo quando è buio during her time in Buenos Aires.

Mariposa has been presented on the Lodovica World Tour in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal since February 1st, 2015. There are also some meetings with Comellos fans in Italian and Portuguese cities.

The album was released in Italy on February 3rd and it will also be released in Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile and Brazil. It has been on sale in Argentina since February 11; in Poland you can get it at low prices on the Internet.
