Maris Pacifici ( Descriptio Maris Pacifici ) was the first printed map of the Pacific .

The map was drawn by Abraham Ortelius in 1589. The map is based on the map of America by Frans Hogenberg from the same year and on the description of the Vaz Dourado of Japan from 1568.
