Mariska Ady

Mariska Ady (born February 26, 1888 in Hodod , † February 4, 1977 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian writer and poet .

Ady has published some books. During the First World War Ady was a widow, she wrote poetry about the horrors of war. Her poems first appeared in local magazines in the Szilágy province , and later in national magazines.

Ady was the daughter of Sándor Ady, a notary. The poet Endre Ady was her cousin. Besides Endre Ady, Mariska Ady was the only one in the family who was literary. She broke off her career early because of illness.
