The association Maritime Tradition Vegesack Nautilus e. V. (MTV Nautilus) is an association for the maintenance and revitalization of the maritime tradition in Bremen-Vegesack . These include shipbuilding, fishing, historic whaling and shipping. The association is active in the museum section of the Vegesack harbor and cooperates with the Museumshaven Vegesack e. V.

The association was founded in 1987 with the aim of contributing to the preservation of Vegesack's maritime structures "through the acquisition, maintenance and operation of maritime units (ships) as cultural monuments". The more than 200 members of this association are involved in the preservation of historic ships, in youth work, in the organization of maritime activities and the documentation of maritime history.

The association is a co-designer of the Maritime Mile at Vegesacker Stadtgarten and operator of the old signal station . It is the only building directly on the water in Vegesack and offers maritime information. A working group is active in the MTV Nautilus, which is committed to the care of the station. The station's balcony offers a panoramic view of the Weser and the Germany school ship . In May 2000, the “Maritime Mile” was officially inaugurated on the Vegesack Weser promenade, the central point of which is to be the signal station.
