Mariyam Shakeela

Mariyam Shakeela is a Maldivian politician who, among other things, was acting foreign minister in 2013.

Life

Mariyam Shakeela was appointed Minister for Environment and Energy by President Mohammed Waheed Hassanzur in 2012 and held this ministerial office until 2013. On September 12, 2013, she also took over the post of Acting Foreign Minister from Asim Ahmed and held this office until Hassan's term of office ended on September 17 , 2013 November 2013. In the subsequent cabinet of President Abdulla Yameen , she served as Minister for Health and Equality between 2013 and 2014.
