The Torpedo Mark 50 is Honeywell's winning design in the United States' Lightweight ASW Torpedo tender for a lightweight, fast, anti- submarine torpedo. The weapon is intended for use against fast and deep diving targets with capabilities such as those possessed by the Soviet Alfa class . Naval helicopters and aircraft used for submarine hunts (examples: SH-60 Seahawk and P-3 Orion ) as well as surface ships with torpedo tubes can be equipped with the torpedo.
