MarkLogic is a NoSQL document-oriented database .

MarkLogic can store and manage JSON and XML documents as well as documents from the Resource Description Framework . Documents can be searched, whereby semantic relationships can also be taken into account.

The database architecture is distributed and scalable. The ACID properties are ensured. MarkLogic includes high availability and disaster recovery . The security model is also based on the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme . Version 9 has been expanded to include easier data integration and more secure encryption .

MarkLogic is available for Microsoft Windows , mac OS X , Red Hat Enterprise Linux , SUSE Linux Enterprise Server , Solaris, and Amazon Web Services . The developer version is free; There is also an Essential Enterprise version for which licenses can be purchased. There is a connection to Microsoft Azure .
