Mark Geoffrey Hunt (born October 5, 1969 in Farnworth ) is a retired English football player.

Career

Hunt received a two-year training contract ("YTS") in 1986 with the fourth division AFC Rochdale and came on the last day of the 1986/87 season in a sporting meaningless clash with Scunthorpe United by substitution for his competitive debut in the professional team. In the following season he came on September 19 in the away game against Exeter City to his starting line-up debut after striker Derek Parlane was out. He scored Rochdale's goal in the 1-1 draw and three days later was also on the starting line -up for the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the League Cup against first division club Wimbledon . In the rest of the season he was only used in the Football League Trophy , at the end of the season Hunt was not offered a professional contract and then no longer appeared in national football.
