Mark Zeuner

Mark Zeuner (* 1964 in Hamburg ) is a German lawyer , insolvency administrator and honorary professor at the Faculty of Law at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel .

Life

Zeuner was born as the eldest son of the Hamburg architect Friedhelm Zeuner and studied law in Hamburg from 1985 to 1990, where he also completed his legal clerkship. From 1990 to 1992 he was a research assistant for Stefan Smid . In 1992 he was with a thesis on the bankruptcy order of the five new federal states doctorate . He was a founding partner of the internationally active Hamburg law firm "Wülfing Zeuner Rechel", which was named "Law Firm of the Year for SMEs" by JUVE Verlag in 2015. In 2018 Zeuner moved to the law firm "Turner Rechtsanwälte".

Zeuner is the author and editor of scientific papers, including a. Together with Stefan Smid, co-editor of a commentary on the bankruptcy regulation and a commentary on the general enforcement order, author of a manual on the right of avoidance in insolvency and co-editor of the "Writings on German, European and International Insolvency Law". In 2011 he was awarded the title of honorary professor at the suggestion of the law faculty of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.

In addition to his work as an honorary professor at the University of Kiel, he is an insolvency administrator and in this role was particularly active in restructuring various companies, such as B. VfB Lübeck as part of an insolvency plan procedure in 2010. In 2011, he was named one of the 25 best experts for insolvency law by the “ Wirtschaftswoche ” magazine .
