MOTU (the name Mark of the Unicorn is no longer used) is an American manufacturer of software and hardware in the audio and MIDI field based in Cambridge (Massachusetts) .

Company history

In 1998, MOTU introduced the 2408, the first professional and affordable hard disk recording system. In 1999, MOTU introduced the 828, the world's first FireWire audio interface for Mac and Windows.
