Markku Lepistö (born December 1963 in Kuortane , Finland ) is a Finnish accordionist and composer.

Markku Lepistö started playing the accordion at the age of five, is a graduate of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and was a member of the Finnish band Värttinä from 1998 to 2008 . He is primarily known as a folk musician , but is also active in other musical fields, such as Klezmer in the band Doina Klezmer .

For the album "New Voices" (2016) he teamed up with Petri Hakala (mandolin, mandola) and Milla Viljamaa (piano) to form the Markku Lepistö Trio.
