Holger Friz

Holger Friz (born April 26, 1965 ) is a former German soccer player .

The young striker came to Eintracht Frankfurt from SG Praunheim in 1978 . On July 26, 1981, Friz took part in the final of the German B youth championship for Eintracht, which was lost 0-1 against Borussia Mönchengladbach . On July 16, 1983, he was with the Eintracht German A youth championship with a 2-0 win against 1. FC Cologne . He scored both goals in that game.

In 1984 he moved up to the professional squad of Eintracht and came to 36 appearances in the Bundesliga between 1984 and 1986, in which he scored seven goals. After he only made five Bundesliga games and two appearances in the DFB Cup in the 1986/87 season, he moved to Viktoria Aschaffenburg in the 2nd Bundesliga , where he scored five goals in 18 appearances. He then returned to Eintracht, but only appeared in six Bundesliga games in the 1987/88 season and scored one goal. In addition, he came to another cup game. In 1988 he moved back to Viktoria Aschaffenburg, where he scored four goals in 13 games. In 1989 he moved to Fortuna Cologne . There he made 65 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored 16 goals. In January 1992 he left Fortuna and switched to Tennis Borussia Berlin , where he played until January 1993. After that he was active in the amateur field for KSV Klein-Karben until 1997 .
