The Étretat market hall is a market hall in the seaside resort of Étretat in the French department of Seine-Maritime in Normandy .

It is located in the center of Étretat at 16 Place Maréchal Foch .

History and architecture

In the place of today's market hall there was originally an estate as well as a canal with a bridge and a tunnel. After repeated flooding problems after heavy rainfall, the pond was filled in. A market square with small wooden huts was built in its place.

The construction of today's market hall was then decided in 1926. The wood for the construction came from the city of Brionne . Inside the hall there are now several shops that offer souvenirs and regional products in particular.

In the hall there is a plaque commemorating the former Étretats military hospital in the two world wars.
