Marla speaks! (Original title: Martha Speaks) is an American-Canadian-Filipino animated series that was produced between 2008 and 2014.

Marla (originally Martha) is a female dog who can talk to people. She doesn't do this for everyone, but when she speaks then usually a lot. She lives with Hannah and her family with her adoptive dog brother Max. This consists of the little brother Jonas and the parents Mariella and Daniel. Marla is also very popular in the neighborhood and with Hannah's best friends Alice and Benni.
Production and publication
The series was produced between 2008 and 2014 by Studio B Productions, Top Draw Animation and WGBH-TV in the United States, Canada and the Philippines. This resulted in 4 seasons with 80 episodes.
The series first aired on September 1, 2008 on PBS . The German premiere took place on April 8, 2013 on Super RTL . The series was also released on DVD and on the video-on-demand service Kividoo .
