Marlene Ropac (* 1960 ) is an Austrian cultural manager . Since 2009 she has been the managing director of the Academy of Austrian Films .

Life

Marlene Ropac worked for the museum in progress from 1990 to 1995 . In 1994 she was one of the co-founders of the Depot , an event center for fine arts in Vienna , of which she was the managing director until 2001. From 2001 to 2003 she worked in the sponsoring department of the Kunsthalle Wien . Ropac was subsequently responsible for the 2006 Mozart year at the Da Ponte Institute in Vienna , as communications director for the Vienna Tanzquartier and as press director for the Viennale film festival . Since 2009 she has been the managing director of the Academy of Austrian Films.

Marlene Ropac lives in Vienna. She is married to the artist Julius Deutschbauer - actually Daniel Ropac .
