Marlies Schröder

Marlies Schröder (born February 14, 1938 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German Catholic and volunteer mainly in the diocese of Essen from Mülheim.

Life

From 1999 to 2010 she was chairwoman of the diocesan council in the diocese of Essen. In addition, she was chairwoman of the Kolping district association in Mülheim an der Ruhr for over 25 years . Marlies Schröder lives in Mülheim.

Awards

For her many years of voluntary work, she was awarded the papal order Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice , among others . The certificate says, among other things, that it was " very important to her to get into conversation with those responsible from politics, society, business and the church from within the association .... The Mülheim woman was also always prudent as the chairwoman of the diocesan council I was sensitive to the many areas of tension within the church and society. " In 2012 she received the Medal of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .
