Marquard Bonhorst († 1432 in Lübeck ) was councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

The merchant Marquard Bonhorst was a member of the Lübeck Schonenfahrer and their senior man . In 1402 he was elected councilor. In the course of the civil unrest in Lübeck at the beginning of the 15th century, he did not go into exile with the majority of the members of the Old Council in 1408 , but stayed in the city. He rejoined the council when the old council returned in 1416.

Bonhorst married Metteke in 1416, a daughter of the Lübeck citizen Tidemann von Minden († after 1381). From 1394 to 1404 he lived in the house at Fischstrasse 16 and then at Fischstrasse 25 in Lübeck's old town . In the wills of Lübeck citizens he is often listed as a documentary witness and guardian .
