Marshall Goldsmith (born March 20, 1949 in Valley Station , Kentucky ) is an American professor, management consultant and author of management literature. One focus of his work is the personal development and training of managers. Marshall Goldsmith is considered one of the pioneers in the application of 360 ° feedback .

Life

Marshall Goldsmith was born in Valley Station, Kentucky, USA. His academic background is a Bachelor of Science (1970) from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, an MBA (1972) from Indiana University and a PhD from UCLA (1977). He was an Assistant Professor at Loyola Marymount University ’s College of Business from 1976 to 2000 . He is currently (2010) a professor at Alliant International University and a lecturer at Dartmouth College's Tuck School. Marshall Goldsmith lives with his wife, Dr. Lyda Goldsmith, in Rancho Santa Fe, California, USA.
