Martín de Guzmán († after 1564 ) was a statesman and diplomat of the Austrian Habsburgs in the 16th century.

Martín de Guzmán came from the Spanish family of the Guzmán . His father was Ramiro Núñez de Guzmán . Martín de Guzmán came to Austria in the 1520s when Spanish troops participated in the Turkish Wars . He became a member of the Secret Council . In 1530 he became chamberlain and in 1551 chief chamberlain of the Roman-German King Ferdinand I. He also worked as a diplomat, including in Italy . Martín de Guzmán was a close confidante of Ferdinand I. According to the Venetian ambassador to Austria , he even slept in a room with him.
