The MARTEN Vertriebs GmbH & Co. KG is a German food manufacturers.

The company was founded in 1855 by Johann Friedrich Marten as a craft business. In 1928 the brothers Fritz and Franz Blankemeyer acquired the company and founded the Gütersloh meat products factory JF Marten GmbH .

Marten, based in Gütersloh in Westphalia, is now one of the largest German companies in the meat industry. 550 employees are employed. Produced raw sausage , cooking and cooked sausage and ham .

The Gütersloher Fleischwarenfabrik JF Marten GmbH is a control and profit transfer agreement to the Joh. Blanke Meyer GmbH & Co. KG bound.

Marten belonged to the so-called sausage cartel , in which 21 manufacturers in the sausage industry had agreed prices since at least 2003 and intentionally and illegally violated the law against restraints of competition (GWB). After a fine in the millions was imposed on Marten, the company was able to avoid this through restructuring ( Wurstlücke ).
